How to read the Decision Desk

The Decision Desk is the full board behind Discord one-liners: gamma rails, Confluence Tape, GEX map, weekly structure, expected move, correlation, Lotto Friday, Strategy Lab, dealer exposure, IV skew, and graded-alert replay — on SPY, QQQ, and IWM (SPX when enabled). It is advisory tooling, not auto-trading.

One-sentence rule

Use the desk to see the board before you act on a graded idea. A pane never replaces level + confirmed candle. If Map and Alert disagree with Tape or Exposure, stand down or size smaller.

Toolbar: panes & symbols

Top of the board:

All / Map / Exposure / Tape / Skew / Quant / Alert / Replay — filter which panels you see (desktop works best for charts).
Symbol — SPY default; QQQ and IWM on the ticker (SPX when enabled). Tape stays SPY.
Refresh — pull a fresh snapshot (respect API cache; don’t spam).
Session clock — force-flat, last entry, A+ window end, event-day flag. Honor the earlier of exchange / event flat times.

Alert — latest graded idea

The strip at the top: letter grade (A+ / B), plain-English idea, rails used, and invalidation. This is the same thesis language as Discord #alerts-a / #alerts-b, on a board instead of a chat. MAJOR news on this pane is context only — a headline is never a trigger and is not blasted to Discord.

Map — rails + GEX + weekly

Gamma rails — call wall, put wall, flip, magnet, regime (spot vs flip).
Expected move — 1σ band with spot + pin overlay (a band, not a ceiling).
SPY ↔ QQQ — lead-lag / regime context. Not a trigger.
Cross-asset — VIX, 10Y (TNX), dollar (UUP). Risk tone only, not a trigger.
Weekly structure — same walls + EM on the nearest 5–45 DTE expiry. Swing clock, not a 0DTE trigger.
GEX by strike — where dealer gamma clusters (visual walls).
Morning desk — today’s Tier-0 one-liner when posted.

Quant — overlays

Correlation grid — SPY / QQQ / IWM / DIA, 5-min returns. Portfolio/risk overlay, not a trigger. DIA is bars-only (no GEX).
Daily Structure — walls + EM + pin, plus overnight / premarket H–L and a simple ATR projection from prior close.
Fear / greed — 0–100 from Tape + VIX. Fade extremes at a rail; the middle is noise. Never a standalone trigger.
Treasury (FRED) — delayed official 10Y / 2Y / 2s10s. Live 10Y on Map is TNX.
Lotto Friday — advisory ranked single-name 0DTE (AAPL, NVDA, TSLA…) with liquidity gates. Opens on weekly-expiry Friday. Not Discord, not auto-exec.
Plus the existing Quant stack: premium compression, path-risk, CVD, VRP, index health, macro events.

Replay — timeline + Strategy Lab

Self-serve list of A+/B candidates from the scanner log for the session. Strategy Lab is educational payoff only (debit/credit vertical, iron condor) — it does not place orders.

Tape — flow confirm

Session bias, 5-minute slope, OFI, premium tone (quadrant), hot strikes. Confirm only — never a naked entry. If the feed is stale, ignore Tape until it recovers.

How to read Confluence Tape

Exposure — DEX · VEX · CHEX · pin

Dealer delta lean, vanna (how hedges shift when IV moves), charm into the close, and pin score toward the magnet. These are feathers on the same trade, not separate signals.

Exposure in plain English

Skew — fear vs complacency

Call vs put IV by strike. Steep put skew = downside fear bid (often supports put fades / warns chasing calls). Flat / complacent skew = less “fear premium.” Light overlay — still needs a rail + candle.

Suggested loop (while flat)

Map — mark the rails and regime (above flip = fade-friendly; below = momentum-friendly).
Alert — is there a graded idea at a rail with invalidation you accept?
Tape + Exposure — agree, disagree, or noisy? Stale feed = skip the confirm.
Clock — still inside your entry window? Event day → earlier flat.
You place the order in your broker. Desk never executes.

What the desk is not
